Concert cancelled!!
The Brigid Mae Power concert is cancelled!
Irish singer-songwriter Brigid Mae Power released her second album earlier this year on the superb Tompkins Square Records. Pitchfork wrote of it ‘folk music that can feel more like doom metal played on acoustic instruments’.
Mae Power was born in London, but moved to Galway in Ireland at the age of twelve. As Irish tradition dictates, aside from guitar, she plays accordion, ukulele, piano and harmonium. Her first album, from 2016, was lavished with great reviews and put the singer on the list of artists ‘to keep an eye on’. She has previously shared a stage with Lee Ranaldo, Alasdair Roberts, Richard Dawson and Ryley Walker, amongst others.
This will no doubt be a wonderful concert in the unique ABsalon setting.
