for the first time ever performing in full: a grand don’t come for free
The legendary British band The Streets is set to reignite the flame of its cult album "A Grand Don't Come for Free". The Streets made a lasting impression in 2002 with "Original Pirate Material", a pioneering album nominated for the Mercury Prize and considered one of the most influential British albums of all time. Two years later, "A Grand Don't Come for Free" confirmed Mike Skinner's narrative genius. It features such essential tracks as "Dry Your Eyes", "Fit But You Know It" and "Blinded By The Lights", which earned him the BRIT Award for Best British Male Solo Artist. In 2026, The Streets will offer their fans the rare opportunity to experience the album as it was intended: a musical and emotional journey through love, loss, chaos, tenderness and hope. True to his style, Skinner will combine raw sincerity, sharp humour and infectious energy. The band will also revisit several of their other great hits, promising an unmissable evening and, above all, a memorable live comeback.
« A Grand Don’t Come for Free was a moment in time — for me, and for everyone who grew up with it. I wrote it as a story from beginning to end, even studying screenwriting to shape it and without the faintest idea how people would react. We’ve been looking for something bold to do with the live show, and we landed here: some tracks have never been played live, others haven’t surfaced in years. It’s a new challenge to bring the whole journey to life on stage, but I have an incredible band and we always give everything every night. So I’m certain we’ll be finding out what happened to that thousand quid a party every night. » - Mike Skinner
