Retro and dreamy cyber-punk phenomenon celebrates debut album
Pyo is the exciting project of Brussels-based Karel Piot. His music is a mix of modern post-punk and the new wave sounds of the ‘80s, somewhere between Joy Division, Ekkstacy, Mareux and The Haunted Youth.
In his dreamy retro cyberpunk universe, Pyo delivers direct, introspective lyrics that racked him up millions of streams here and in France during his debut year. Belgian press describing Pyo live: “Like a bouncing Duracell bunny, Pyo takes the stage and immediately sets the room on fire with his fast post-punk sound.”
After a number of successful singles like Midnight Sunlight and So Tired, Pyo toured France, Belgium, South Korea and Japan. Don’t be fooled by the danceable beats. On his new single Control, Pyo stares death right in the face: "There’s a sense of defiance in it. You keep raging because you want to hold on. But the silence of the void is deafening. It never gives an answer. In the end, you’re alone, and there is no hand. Only you and the abyss."
Heavy yet highly danceable, it is possible!
