Classically schooled ensemble reinterprets Radiohead - approved by Nils Frahm
In â16, AB asked Brusselsâ classically schooled ensemble Echo Collective to make Radioheadâs âAmnesiacâ (from â01) â the little brother of troublemaker âKid Aâ â sound like it was a classical masterpiece. By means of a concert residence in AB Salon, the audience could see and hear the evolution of âThe shaping of âŠâ at close proximity. In the meantime, they have now triumphed at AB festivals like BRDCST (in the company of Hauschka) and the FeeĂ«rieĂ«n. But Nils Frahm also fell for them too, and invited them to perform soon in the prestigious Philharmonie de Paris.
To top it all off, Berlin label K7! (see, amongst others: the artist curated series LateNightTales with the likes of Nils Frahm, The Cinematic Orchestra, BadBadNotGood, Jon Hopkins,...) has wooed them into releasing all this finery on an album. The moving result can be heard in its entirety on this night.
