Regan Bowering is a percussionist, improviser and sound artist based in London. In her solo work, she explores the intersections between drums and percussion, everyday objects, amplifiers, loudspeakers and feedback. Her music oscillates between intensity and subtlety: it shifts from powerful, resonant soundscapes to refined, almost whispered percussive textures.

Her debut album, *Solos for _ _ _ _ Spaces* (2023, Bezirk Tapes), was described by *The Quietus* as ‘a play on contrasts, where exuberant expression alternates with restrained phrases, and where roaring feedback is tamed by delicate percussive movements, driven by a desire for dramatic tension rather than mere dissonance ’.

In January 2026, her first full-length album, *A Technology of Feeling*, was released on the Infant Tree label, in which she further deepens her exploration of sound and physicality. Alongside her solo work, Bowering is part of a trio with Li Song and Conal Blake. Together, they have released *2 Movements* (2024, Feedback Moves) and *Music for Snare Drums and Portable Speakers* (2023, Infant Tree), albums that highlight their shared fascination with rhythm, space and sound architecture.

Regan Bowering is currently undertaking a practice-based PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she is continuing to develop her artistic research. Through her uncompromising, physical yet subtle approach to sound, Regan Bowering moves effortlessly between improvisation, experimental music and sound art.

Lia Kohl is a composer and sound artist from Chicago. Originally trained as a cellist, she also incorporates synthesisers, field recordings, toy instruments and radios into her work as a solo artist, composer, collaborator and installation artist. Her practice focuses on ways of listening that are closely tied to time and place, such as field recordings, improvisation, radio broadcasts and transmission.

In her work, she often focuses on everyday and seemingly unremarkable sounds: sounds that usually go unnoticed or are rarely documented. Through these sounds, she seeks out the extraordinary, the unknown and the beauty in everyday life.
Her work has been presented internationally in museums, galleries and at festivals, as well as in less conventional venues such as railway stations, public swimming pools and parks. She has been an artist-in-residence at institutions including Mana Contemporary, Pioneer Works, Stanford University and Mills College, and was a Transmission Art Fellow at Wave Farm. She has also released five solo albums and contributed to numerous collaborative recording projects.
