We are delighted to once again welcome American experimental composer/musician Lea Bertucci to the AB Salon. Earlier this year, we saw the release of the wonderful album ‘A Visible Length Of Light’: Created, or the most part, in 2020 and making use of bass-clarinet, alt-sax, manipulated tape, organ, a wooden Venu flute and field recordings, it became a work of real-time responses and reflections on the instability of the year, distilled in a series of prophetic aural compositions that sparkle with life and hope. In the AB Salon, Lea will play the last concert of her European fall tour.
One of the newcomers in the Belgian experimental music scene is violinist/sound-artist Elisabeth Klinck. Aside from her work for the NEMØ ensemble, she is working on an own repertoire and performing pieces by (young) contemporary composers. Her release on the HUIS label, recorded in the modernist Joseph Schellekens house, gives a good picture of the talent and the vision of this very promising artist (see: links).
