Marcus King, the Grammy-nominated guitarist and singer from South Carolina, performs a raw mix of brooding blues, soulful rock and Americana that comes straight from the heart.

That Marcus King would lead a musical life was written in the stars at his birth. He grew up the son of blues musician Marvin King and already appeared at his side on stage at the age of eight, in the company of his uncles and grandfather. He was still a teenager when he established his own band. The Marcus King Band is an alliance of long-haired youngsters who play soulful rock-’n-roll.

In 2019, Marcus announced a solo album. For it, he joined forces with none other than Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. El Dorado was released in early 2020 and received nothing but rave reviews. The album even got a GRAMMY® Award nomination for ‘Best Americana Album’.

Marcus King lets his soul speak in Mood Swings, his 2024 album that feels like a musical rebirth. After years of intense touring and collaborations with greats like Chris Stapleton and Greta Van Fleet, for this album he worked with none other than Rick Rubin.
