Faroese artist Eivør presents her new album ‘Tungl’, bringing a dark, cinematic, and emotionally charged sound.
Deeply influenced by the rugged landscapes and communal singing culture of her homeland, the Faroe Islands, she blends centuries-old traditions with a contemporary sound. With her new work, she once again moves between different genres, blending Nordic folk, cinematic compositions and modern production into a dark, atmospheric and emotionally charged sound.
On 2 March Eivør will present her new album at AB and tickets are still available!
The press on ‘Tungl’:
‘Nordic noir! Faroese singer Eivør blends folky mysticism and moody electronica to impressive effect…These 10 tracks maintain an impressively atmospheric mood without becoming predictable. The witchy drama of Healer lands somewhere between Chelsea Wolfe and Florence + The Machine.’ - Kerrang
‘Faroese artist Eivør proves that music does not need crushing guitars or blast beats to deliver an emotional punch. On her new album, Tungl, haunting vocals, hypnotic rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes create something both delicate and immensely powerful.’ - Metal Talk
‘Following up her 2024 masterpiece, our favourite Faorese skald, EIVØR is back with her follow up, TUNGL. An album seeped in atmosphere as it combines the ancient with modern. It’s a perfect bit of escapism for those looking to be taken to far and distant lands through music as it sets you on a beautiful journey of discovery.’ - Distorted Sound Magazine
