It’s been almost three years now already but he now finally returns, quasi exclusive, between a Spanish and a Portuguese tour!? With a new CD this spring too. Wim Mertens, the master of fine tunes and well-founded oeuvre. You know him from 'minimal' (and advertising) hits like 'Close Cover' and 'Struggle For Pleasure'. But you can come to Wim for about 50 CDs full of the most intriguing music! In 2006 this great Belgian talent celebrated a 25-year career, amongst other things with a sold-out two-dayer in the AB. This enthusiastic author-pianist-vocalist (and guitarist!) finally returns in the fall of 2007. With a new CD (via Usura Music, as always), and with his ensemble: Tatiana Samouil (violin), Bert Van Laethem (violin), Liesbeth De Lombaert (viola), Lode Vercampt (cello), Ruben Appermont (double bass) en Wim Mertens (piano playing and raised voice).
