Fourth Corner, soul sister!
Concert
Trixie Whitley is live! She's released the wonderfully powerful CD 'Fourth Corner'. She took her time doing it. Commuting between Gent and The States. Gaining live experience on the best stages too. What she now gets up to with her instruments, her voice, her guitar and keyboard and band is outright impressive. So it's 'real live', exciting and intense.
At her first sold-out AB, in March of this year, we also cited De Morgen and Knack. Now we'll just keep to Humo: '3,5/4: 'Whitley has a voice. One that has us understanding why they serve beer at concerts in plastic cups – glass would be in danger every time she opened that throat of hers...'
Even more Humo following her latest visit to Couleur Café: 'Each and every song was a winner, songs for eternity, warm blankets for summer nights at the beach... Trixie Whitley was a lot: amongst other things, a voice that we loved to have cut right through us. Full of confidence too, as well as love and passion. But especially: one big chunk of warmth... Impressive stuff.'
