For this sold out concert an exchange desk will be opened between 6:30pm and 8pm. The purpose is to bring people with spare tickets and people who are looking for tickets in contact with each other. So if you want to get rid of tickets of on the contrary are looking for tickets, do not sell and buy on the street, but check with the exchange desk between 7pm and 8pm.
‘American Slang’ will be in stores as of Friday 18 June, it is The Gaslight Anthem's successor to their distinguished debut ‘The ’59 Sound’. They were able to introduce it to a whole new flock of fans with their concert at Rock Werchter this summer. We can drop first-class names like Social Distortion, The Replacements or Bruce Springsteen for those seeking references for their timeless rock ‘n’ roll. We can even consider the latter to be one of their biggest fans, as The Boss jumped on stage with them for a seasoned version of ‘The ’59 Sound’ during their show at Britain's Glastonbury festival last year.

The Gaslight Anthem’s second album was not only an essential document of punk rock soul but a record that will endure long into the future.

We’ve had this longstanding rule that no live band sounds good on TV. And then we saw NJ’s Gaslight Anthem on Letterman and concluded that either a) our rule was wrong, b) they are, in fact, the band of our generation, or c) some combination thereof. Absolutely breathtaking.

These songs are simple, mostly, but they're executed perfectly. Fallon and guitarist Alex Rosamilia do this thing, mostly on the quiet bits, where their guitars wrap twinkly harmonies around each other, getting loose and intricate without being showy about it. And when the guitars turn into chorus-firepower, it just kills because it's been so long since we've heard anyone pull that off with such panache. If you've got even a tiny bit of a soft spot for that bruised-growl retro-punk, THE ’59 SOUND is an answer to a prayer.

We all know Chuck Ragan as the frontman of punk rock band Hot Water Music. On his own, he plays up-tempo folk that is obviously drenched in punk spirit. His latest album on the Side One Dummy label is entitled ‘Gold Country’. Musically, think of Frank Turner who he has extensively toured the UK with. Ragan is apparently also working on music with Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon.
The show is opened by the British rock band Sharks, who are also steeped in honest-to-goodness punk.
