Heavy metal icons are coming to town as part of the ‘Gods of Thunder’ tour’
ConcertFor almost fifty years, Saxon have been flying the flag for British heavy metal. As one of the founding acts of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), Biff Byford and co, alongside greats such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, emerged in the late 1970s as true pioneers of the genre. With classics such as ‘Wheels of Steel’, ‘Denim and Leather’, ‘Princess of the Night’ and ‘747 (Strangers in the Night)’, they helped write the history of heavy metal. After many years, they’re returning to AB with their ‘Gods of Thunder Tour’ – and they’re not doing so just for the sake of it; we’re one of the only venues to be treated to the full ‘Castles and Eagles’ production. We can’t wait!
