50th anniversary of German metal band
A 50-year career calls for a big celebration! The legendary heavy metal band Accept is marking the occasion with its 50th Anniversary Tour 2026, an exceptional world tour that will stop off in Brussels. The German band will be performing at the AB on 13 December 2026 for what is already shaping up to be a legendary evening, with Dynazty and Tailgunner, two support acts ready to set the venue alight!
Formed in 1976 in Solingen, Germany, Accept rose to the top of the international scene in the early 1980s, becoming one of the major forces in European heavy metal. With Wolf Hoffmann as its creative core, the band made music history with iconic albums such as ‘Breaker’, ‘Restless and Wild,’ ‘Balls to the Wall’ and ‘Metal Heart.’ Tracks such as ‘Starlight,’ ‘Fast As A Shark’ and ‘Princess Of The Dawn’ shaped the sound of European heavy metal and influenced generations of artists. Despite numerous line-up changes and several hiatuses over the decades, the band has been able to reinvent itself with force, particularly since the arrival of singer Mark Tornillo in 2009, releasing a string of critically acclaimed albums such as ‘Blood of the Nations’, “Stalingrad”, ‘Blind Rage’ and ‘Too Mean to Die’. As productive as ever, Accept returned in April 2024 with their latest studio album Humanoid, produced by Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Testament, Saxon), another solid addition to an already impressive body of work. Their last visit to Belgium, at the Trix in Antwerp, confirmed that the band is still as powerful as ever live. Fifty years after their debut, Accept continues to champion a sharp, unifying and timeless heavy metal sound and promises the AB an anniversary concert worthy of their legendary status. The metal music event of the year will take place on 13 December!
