British multi-instrumentalist presents wonderful debut album

Concert Liveurope

This is a Liveurope concert, the first European initiative that supports concert venues in promoting emerging musical talent from Europe.

Jacob Allen, better known as Puma Blue, creates dreamy lo-fi pop reminiscent of a cross between James Blake and King Krule. The 25-year-old multi-instrumentalist struggled with insomnia and dark thoughts in recent years. His debut ‘In Praise Of Shadows’ is a reflection of this period. It is a wonderful, personal album that explores the border between darkness and beauty.

A Liveurope concert:

The first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.

In the press

“You will struggle to find another debut album which is quite as refined and deeply personal. In Praise Of Shadows is a searing example of the creative expression that can come from locking yourself in your bedroom with the right apparatus.” – The Indiependent
