The Balthazar of Brussels turns out colourful indie-pop!
Newfangled quartet led by Aurelio Mattern (Lucy Lucy!) and Ben Bailleux-Beynon (with a heap of ingenious pop-kilometers on The Tellers already) turns out colourful indie-pop that contrarily winks to surf and psychedelica. In 2013 they laid their first egg as Paon, a self-titled, extremely varied EP filled with irresistible melodies, lively harmonies and the very addictive single ‘Shine Over Me’, including a deliciously bizarre video clip!

They've already opened for Alt-J, Editors, Best Coast and the friends from Girls in Hawaii and BRNS... and invariably run off with the honours. New work is ready and waiting on the shelves of Pias (62 TV Records: Girls in Hawaii, Dez Mona) and the release concert is hereby booked. You'd be lyrical for less… It is indeed as clear as day that Brussels has its very own Balthazar from now on!
