Welcome back to Belgium

At the Herreman home, they knew it straight away: when little Seppe uttered his very first cries on 13 May 1999 in Ostend, it already sounded impressive. A star was born.

From the age of seven, he was a regular at the music academy (where he learned to control his voice like a wonderful instrument). Lady Gaga inspired him to master piano too. But that wasn’t enough for the young showman. He enrolled in ballet and tap dance classes too: come what may, Seppe definitely wanted to shine on a stage.

At the age of thirteen – without his parents knowing – he registered for Belgium’s Got Talent, where he blew the jury away with his version of Christina Aguilera’s hits. When Ostend became too small for him, his singing teacher sent him to the Royal Conservatory in Ghent (KASK), where he spent 5 years refining his voice and style in the Vocals course (Light Music/Pop). He chose resolutely for pure pop, with Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars as his inspiration.

While studying, he renamed himself Red Sebastian – an artist with distinctive vocals and maker of upbeat electro-pop. His first single Embrace Me was followed by his debut album You. Over the years, his self-confidence and personality grew. The outfits became bolder, the lyrics more layered and his stage presence more daring.

On stage, showman Red Sebastian comes to life completely: he transcends himself, fuelled by the energy of a live audience. Today, he is best known as the likeable, colourful Belgian candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Red Sebastian is ready to conquer Europe!
