Alice George Perez presents ‘A Song with the Title of Lunch Bells’
Alice George Perez is a Brussels-based singer-songwriter whose distinctive fingerpicking guitar style hovers between indie folk and avant-pop. She strikes a balance between Sibylle Baier and Paul McCartney, with a dash of Aldous Harding.
Her debut A Song with the Title of Lunch Bells was released in the autumn of 2025 on Mokuhi Sonorities (see too: Mobilhome), the label of contrabass player Nicolas Rombouts (see too: SPOOK, Dez Mona, Jim White, …) with whom she also shares the stage.
Mobilhome presents ‘That Thought Tender’
Mobilhome describes its music as “avant- garde jazz music for nostalgic pop-rock boomers, or birdsongs lovers”. The band name may not sound familiar but the band members certainly are.
Key figure Camille-Alban Spreng (also present in bodies and in his own band ODIL) is joined by Vitja Pauwels (see too: Naima Joris, Bombataz and Sound Of Brussels Orchestra), Sam Comerford (see too: Hendrik Lasure, Warm Bad), Lennart Heyndels (Hi Hawaii, Alex Koo Trio) and Théo Lanau. The autumn of 2025 also saw the release (again on Mokuhi Sonorities) of their impressive album That Thought Tender, which may well pack a punch.
Tip for a happier, more musical life: Camille-Alban Spreng will also perform with bodies on Thursday 5 February during Belgian Music Week.
