JGrrey pushes the boundaries between neo-soul, hip-hop and R&B, with a sound that is both vulnerable and distinctive. In 2017, her version of Don’t Fade for COLORSxSTUDIOS put her on the map. It marked an important moment in her musical journey, attracting new listeners eager to discover the British singer who had previously been sharing raw, unmixed experimental neo-soul on SoundCloud. Billie Eilish was also drawn to her music and invited JGrrey to support her on her European tour.

On her debut album, you, me & jen, JGrrey turns inward. She explores different sides of herself, sharing personal stories about identity, self-confidence and connection. She sees music as a way of making difficult emotions tangible: “Music is a way of taking those hard to feel emotions and holding them up to a light.”
