In 2020, Froukje broke through with her hit Ik Wil Dansen. She was immediately dubbed one of the most talented Dutch-language pop artists. Her EPs Licht en Donker (2021) and Uitzinnig (2022) were received with high praise and multiple 5-star reviews.

She has a busy year behind her: last summer she performed on the main stages of Down The Rabbit Hole, Lowlands, Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter. She also has a sold-out club tour. 

Froukje promises to go for it again in 2024. Her long-awaited debut album Noodzakelijk Verdriet will be out on January 12 and with it comes a tour. New singles Naar Het Licht and Houden van Mij are already promising previews.
