Multi-instrumentalist and spirited dancer with catchy hooks and quirky grooves
Frankie Fame is not your average artist. His music floats somewhere between indie pop, soul and cinematic night-time romance — with a voice that is soft, raw and disarming all at once. Each song feels like a scene from a forgotten dream; a night-time drive through a city you just can't quite recognise.
His songs sound warm and analogue and are full of modern layers. Retro without wanting to be retro, pop without the gloss, soul without clichés. Live, he and his band bring an unpolished energy that not only makes you listen and dream, but above all makes you move and smile. Think Prince with a touch of Belgian melancholy, or a cross between Tame Impala and a lost soul record from the 1970s.
With a series of self-produced singles, including the groovy Take It Tonight and the sultry-abstract City Love, Frankie Fame is steadily building his own universe: The Fameverse.
After a sold-out show at Trix, airplay on various national radio stations, successful appearances at festivals such as Live is Live and Campo Solar, and support slots for Blackwave & Papooz, among others, Frankie continues to forge his own unique path in the music landscape with his upcoming album Forever Future.
