Douglas Firs

Ghent’s version of Ryan Adams is alert, hungry and sounds just a little bit different!

WHAT?
Douglas Firs has nestled itself into the ears and hearts of music lovers over the past few years, with singles like "Pretty Legs and Things to Do", "Caroline" or "Don't Buy The House" (a song enthusiastically sung along to by many a renovator atop a shaky scaffolding in the summer of 2015).

For this third album, Firs headed to New York, where he immersed himself in the culture and stories that the city is rich with. Single ‘Shine ‘em up Sadie’ is the first result of that trip. The music is more uptempo and passionate than ever before.

FOR FANS OF?
The Bony King, Ryan Adams, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Gram Parsons, Father John Misty

IN THE PRESS
Humo wrote of ‘The Long Answer Is No’: "een album van een muzikant die weet wat hij wil en dat verdomme zal gaan halen ook"

AB TIDBIT
Douglas Firs already appeared on stage in an AB Theater in 2013, where they played as support-act to ‘big brotherThe Bony King’. What’s more, Gertjan is both frontman of Douglas Firs and guitarist with The Bony King.

FUN FACT
The video clip for single ‘Shine ‘em up Sadie’ will be an ode to eighties children’s TV program tic-tac!

Response

Gogogo zouden we zeggen :-)
