1 + 1 = 3. The ultimate proof? The Colorist Orchestra + Emiliana Torrini!
There is something magical about a good collaboration. Especially when two artists are able to "merge into one another" like a perfect symbiosis. The Colorist Orchestra is not only - since their inception in 2013 - living proof of this, they have actually become specialists in it. Colorist pivots Aarich Jespers and Kobe Proesmans have done it before with the work of Gabriel Rios, Lisa Hannigan and most recently with Howe Gelb (Giant Sand).
But it is the bloodline with Icelandic singer/songwriter EmilÃana Torrini that made them break through internationally. In 2023, their joint musical egg will be released: 'Racing the Storm,' not an adaptation of previous Torrini songs; but brand new, completely original material. An international class act pur sang? We gladly kneel for that.
