Tunes from the living-room, songs with international allure!
12:00 De Held
De Held between the Parlement, Royale Palace, American Embassy and the Société Genérale (ah no, that’s gone now already.) De Held is the courageous alias of Jo Jacobs and also the title of his debut CD a few years back. Now there is the um... heroic successor ‘Alcatraz’, recorded at home in his living room, his Alcatraz. Producer Wouter Van Belle and drummer Karel De Backer added a bit of this and that and Humo commented: ‘Daar zit je dan: de debuutplaat vier sterren gegeven en de opvolger beter vinden.’
12:45: Eefje De Visser
Eefje is clearly in her blue period. No, not exactly The Blues but rather a clear azure sound with extremely fine arrangements that harmoniously coil interlaced around her breathtaking voice and language antics. Got it? It’s an attempt to fathom Eefje as a phenomenon. You’re sure to know her from Radio 1 where latest CD ‘Nachtlicht’ and single ‘Mee’ always made you wonder where all that beauty originated? England? The Netherlands? Sensational Soundland!
