First concert at the brand new AB Salon
Berlin-based composer/guitarist Jules Reidy and Los Angeles-based composer/clarinet player Sam Dunscombe have been working together in the experimental scene for years. Following their joint Futura Resistenza release earlier this year, they will soon be reuniting.
Reidy is known for their subtle microtonal guitar style on a custom-made specimen with adjustable frets. They produce delicate lines that balance between stillness and movement. Dunscombe uses dense spectral electronics and swirling sine structures to create a constantly shifting soundscape that continually challenges harmonic logic.
Together, they blur musical boundaries as guitar, clarinet, field-recordings and electronica merge into one evolving organism. Their music moves along the edge, between linear and cyclical, serene and explosive, constantly changing form.
This concert offers a compelling encounter between two artists who are completely committed to discovery, transformation and the exploration of sonic borderlands.
