Until March 2006 these Dead Souls went through life purely as a homage to Joy Division. Their excellent impression of this legendary post-punk/new wave band from Manchester provided them with cult status. But this foursome found that it made more sense to concentrate on their own work when recording. Of course you can still hear echoes of Ian Curtis & Co. but just as well shreds of Editors, Jesus And Mary Chain and Sonic Youth. Their debut 'Cognac & Coffee' was also spot on: Record of the Week and 'houdt het imago van Leuven als Manchester-aan-de-Dijle hoog' (Focus Knack), 'un disque dans l'air du temps, si on tient compte du succès croissant d'Interpol et autres Editors' (RifRaf).
Free for KILLING JOKE (30/9) concertgoers.
