Back from her Alabama homeland, Beverly Jo Scott has returned to Belgium with a flourish of musical activity both on and off stage.
The brand new single ’Love Me Wild’ from her upcoming cd ‘Swamp Cabaret’ is hot off the press and BJ is ready to celebrate!
A spectacular concert is scheduled for the Ancienne Belgique on December 6, 2013 for the single’s release and presentation of her new show ‘Swamp Cabaret’. Her new cd, of the same name, is to be released in the spring of 2014.
After numerous writing, coaching and singing collaborations in the USA as well as here in Belgium (Black Box Revelation, Triggerfinger, Stan Van Samang, Sirius Plan … ) B.J. felt the need to create a different concert concept for herself that included new songs and tailor made visuals to give the show a « cabaret » feel. Stories and anecdotes are spiced with her vivid sense of humor and a Deep South poet’s approach to life, love and absurdity. Coach for The Voice Belgique for the third consecutive season, she also hosts a Sunday radio show on Classic 21 called « BJ’s Sunday Brunch».
A documentary of her life in Europe and at home in Alabama entitled « Beyond The Swamps » has aired several times on the RTBF and received acclaim in several film festivals. Public release of the DVD in the days to come.
