Einstürzende Neubauten meets Raster_Noton
Einstürzende Neubauten meets Raster_Noton or: Neubauten frontman Blixa Bargeld meets Raster_Noton chief Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai). Bargeld and Nicolai have been a 'fan' of each other's work for a while now. The two have worked together on a number of projects since '07 but it was only in 2010 that they finally got around to creating something for posterity, together. Result: the 'Mimikry' album whereby Bargeld's penetrating voice (sometimes screaming, sometimes crooning) perfectly blends with Carsten Nicolai's minimal electronica.
Alva Noto has worked previously with the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Mika Vainio and also Michael Nyman. ANBB were here only last year for the final edition of the Domino festival and made quite an impression.
Support-act will be Liesa Van der Aa. The link is of course her debut ‘Troops’ that was recently recorded in the Einstürzende Neubauten studio together with Boris Wilsdorf as producer (He's Neubauten's regular engineer and co-producer). Her debut was certainly highly praised in the press:
“’Troops' sounds both bleak & barren as well as heart-warming & intimate, often simultaneously. Cynics who claim that that's impossible need to hear Troops' post haste. The rest of the world should too, by the way.”

“A wonderful debut that assaults you like a feverish dream.”
(De Morgen)
“A unique talent and a sensation live with loop station.”
