Surprising synth-pop interwoven with a serve of indie-rock
A Liveurope concert:
The first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.
“I can appreciate Taylor Swift but I can also appreciate Slipknot”. Dubliners Lar Kaye and Connor Adams, together: All Tvvins (pronounced twins), far from turn up their noses at pop and also share an experimental math-rock past. They themselves place their style & sound at the crossroads of “TV On The Radio’s art-pop twists and leftfield psychedelic excursions by Animal Collection”, but we like to stick to surprising synth-pop interwoven with a serious serve of indie-rock.
The debut arrives via leftfield label Sargent House (Deafheaven, Russian Circles, Chelsea Wolfe) and their “partners in sound” – such as Jim Abbiss (Arcade Fire, Kasabian), Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar) and Mark Rankin (Qotsa, Bombay Bicycle Club) - are certainly no slackers!
Gone are the days of warming up for The Pixies, Arcade Fire and Editors! Time to stand on their own two feet.
