Alice Mae – whose real name is Alexia – used to borrow her parents’ CDs to immerse herself in classic alternative rock. Inspired by legendary bands such as Oasis, The Rolling Stones and U2, she promised herself she would make authentic, no-nonsense rock music, with a distinct feminine touch in a predominantly male scene. At the age of 25, she is fulfilling that promise.
