āMeetings, writing sessions, songs that, like me, were fueled by travelling back and forth between London and Brussels". This is how Blanche sums up the three years that passed between one evening in spring 2017 when she revealed herself to the whole of Europe with āCity Lightsā and her first album, āEmpireā, which will be released in April 2020.
New single that gives its title to Blanche's album, āEmpireā is available on February 14th. It gets straight to the point. āEmpireā is a pop song. āEmpireā is a melancholic song. āEmpireā is a song where the voice of Ellie Delvaux blends with traditional instruments (piano, drums, guitar, cello) and modern electro. "Empire evokes these people who build a shell to cut themselves off from all their emotions and end up lying to themselves" says its author.
āEmpireā was written by Ellie Delvaux and co-produced by Rich Cooper (Banks, Mystery Jets, Lucy Rose) and FranƧois Gustin (Girls In Hawaii) who are also involved in the making of the entire album.
