FOꓘKOP.EЯA are Herb Cells (vocals), Martin Daniel (synths), Ben Tequi (drums) and Charles Bruère (VJ). They opened for Akua Naru at AB, for CLIPPING. at M4 Brussels, shared the stage with AUSGANG at Les Nuits 2021 Brussels and were artist-in-residence at VK in Brussels.
FOꓘKOP.EЯA are not easily described. They are driven by Nina Simone's mantra: "It's an artist's duty to reflect the times".
In a world of steroid cattle dressed in bubblegum, Herb Cells & his mates try hard to find the emergency exit. Orchestrated by schizophrenic KORG MS20 bass and incisive neck-breaking live drums, lyrics may remind an Escher-stairway case. FOꓘKOP.EЯA is not your average F-word opera, but refers to an Era ruled by F*** Ups / Imposters. Multiple bpm, all live and inspired by Afro-American sounds, it’s an idiosyncratic UFO after all.
