I don’t know about you, but I feel so alive when I’m surrounded by people.
My friend told me there’s a word for this, it sounds a bit corny but apparently it’s “collective effervescence”.
If I had to describe how I felt during the opening a few weeks ago, that’s exactly how I would describe it.
The air was filled with laughs and chats, everything felt so electric.
It was the first time that we saw in full effect what AB Lab could be and for the first time we were inviting people to discover the new spaces, AB Antenna, AB Salon and the rooftop too of course.
It was a night where we personally invited collectives to join us in our celebrations. Collectives that are pillars to the culture that moves BXL, that are essential to the artistic evolution of the city.
The excitement was palpable, many plans were made and emails were shared to stay in contact and grow this project.
What I love about the city, is that creative people don’t gatekeep. Quite the opposite, people want to collaborate and see how to create something together, in a constant flow of exchange.
And that extended to the soft opening night too, putting AB Lab on the creative map where ideas can become reality.
