Job description:
The functioning and infrastructure of AB are developing rapidly. The premises in Steenstraat were completed in 2025, comprising a new, small concert hall, community space, recording studio, kitchen, meeting rooms and rooftop terrace. AB also owns two retail spaces in Steenstraat which are currently being converted into event spaces. Finally, AB will shortly begin renovating the corner building, to the left of the main entrance, which will house the new AB Café. Together with the famous great hall and club, AB forms a major complex in the centre of Brussels.
As a maintenance staff member, together with your team you will be responsible for maintaining all this infrastructure and ensuring that it functions properly. You will make sure that we can welcome our audiences and artists in the best possible conditions every day.
Tasks:
- You will carry out repairs and adjustments on existing installations independently.
- You will welcome and accompany external contractors and provide support for them where necessary.
- You will prepare the daily schedule for the cleaning team, provide guidance and serve as their first point of contact on the floor.
Profile:
- You have a good technical understanding and practical skills.
- You have a knowledge of woodworking and welding.
- You have a basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing.
- Painting and minor repairs pose no problem for you.
- You have the people skills needed to manage teams on the floor.
- You have a good knowledge of Dutch and French. English is a plus.
What we are offering:
- A full-time, open-ended blue-collar employment contract.
- You will work a 40-hour week following a regular timetable: Monday to Friday from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm. Occasional weekend work may be required.
- Remuneration in line with the PC304 scales, pay grade C+.
- Reimbursement for a public transport season ticket for commuter travel, meal vouchers, group and hospitalisation insurance, 13th month, end-of-year bonus and numerous fringe benefits.
