To strengthen the Infrastructure and Maintenance team, we are looking for a full-time maintenance worker.
Ancienne Belgique is a vibrant concert hall in the heart of Brussels, keen to embrace both young talent and established artists. It is both niche and mainstream, adventurous and genre-transcending. Through some 400 concerts and projects a year, we aim to provide an unforgettable experience for our more than 330,000 visitors. All this is managed by a highly motivated team of around 65 permanent staff.
As a maintenance worker, you will work with your team to ensure that our buildings and technical infrastructure remain in top condition. That way, we can welcome visitors, artists and colleagues every day in a safe, well-maintained and pleasant environment!
Assignment

- You will welcome and supervise external contractors and ensure smooth cooperation on site.
- You will proactively identify technical or infrastructure problems and work with your colleagues to find sustainable solutions.
- You will help to ensure a safe, well-maintained and pleasant environment for visitors, artists and colleagues.
- You will actively contribute ideas for improvements, renovations and the further development of our buildings and infrastructure.
Profile
- You have a strong technical mindset and enjoy hands-on work.
- You have experience or knowledge of plumbing.
- You have a basic knowledge of electricity and carpentry.
- You are not daunted by minor painting, maintenance or repair jobs.
- You can carry out minor welding work.
- You enjoy working with colleagues, but are also able to take on and follow up on assignments independently.
- You are fluent in Dutch and have a basic knowledge of French. Knowledge of English is an asset.
- You are solution-oriented, meticulous and take the initiative when you spot opportunities or problems.
- You draw energy from a vibrant cultural and musical environment and feel at home at a venue where every day is different.
What we are offering
- You will be working at the heart of a vibrant musical venue where no two days are the same.
- The impact of your work will be immediately apparent: thanks to you, concerts, events and day-to-day operations will be able to run smoothly.
- You will be given a varied range of technical tasks, from minor repairs to larger-scale projects carried out in collaboration with contractors.
- You will work alongside colleagues from different teams and be given the freedom to take the initiative and suggest improvements.
- Contract: a full-time permanent white-collar contract.
- Working hours: 40-hour week with a regular timetable: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There may be occasional weekend work, in consultation with your manager.
- Remuneration in line with the JC304 scales, pay grade C+.
- Benefits: reimbursement for a public transport season ticket for commuter travel, meal vouchers, group and hospitalisation insurance, 13th month, end-of-year bonus and numerous fringe benefits.
- And of course: a great job in a fantastic team! ❤
