The Scene on the scène, première!
Following the split in 2002, in 2007 The Scene decided to give it some gas again together, just one more time. A record appeared: ‘The Scene - 2007’ to which Sarah Bettens (K’s Choice),Tom Barman (dEUS) and Paskal Jakobsen (Bløf) lent their voices. Also followed by a brilliant tour of the Paradiso, Ancienne Belgique and various summer festivals in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The press were immediately enthusiastic: ‘Sharp as an uppercut... The Scene is back. Without slogans. Without clichés. With, as single constant, the ability to touch you in the only place that counts: right in the heart.’ (De Morgen) ‘A concert that gives you goosebumps four times in two hours, that can't be anything other than fantastic, unbelievable and an experience? No other group has done that before.’ (Kindamusic) ‘Thé Lau's band stands on a high peak.’ (NRC)

A success story as no other, but what now? Well, the gentlemen and lady have found one another again and will carry on. With a new CD via V2 in the fall of 2009 and after that a theatre tour in the Netherlands and Belgium, with both the new repertoire as well as the classics, of course. Remember: 'Iedereen Is Van De Wereld', 'Rigoureus', 'Blauw'.... now!
