20 years of The Father, 20 years of The Son, 20 years of The Holy Simon
That’s 20 years of the hardest-working four-headed power trio (only in surrealist Belgium) from the Dender region and far beyond. The Father, the Son and the Holy Simon first emerged as a raw power trio and instantly built a solid live reputation with their relentless, uncompromising blues rock. A holy trinity soon turned into three musketeers when they added their own D’Artagnan in the form of keyboardist Anton Engels. Madness was now complete: raging live shows, screaming guitar solos, and a rhythm section pounding like your grandma’s pacemaker. It was about time the most important export product from Dendermonde destroyed the stage of the AB Club. Neither Kim Kay nor Vanessa Chinitor could ever pull that off.
