From the Go-Betweens to substantial solo splendour!
In full, this concert is called: 'An Evening With Robert Forster'
Australia’s Robert Forster is frugal with the release of new music. There were four years between Songs To Play (2015) and his new CD Inferno again. Inferno was recorded in Berlin with producer Victor Van Vugt, it contains nine tracks and lasts barely 35 minutes. But those tracks really are spot on. This leader of the legendary The Go-Betweens is the Bob Dylan/Lou Reed-combination of the antipodes. Literary and accessible at the same time. He wrote one of the best books of recent years with Grant & I and he delivers one of the best albums of 2019 with Inferno. Robert Forster is a phenomenon.
