Some names need no explanation. Orbital is one of them.
For anyone who spent their nights on the dance floor in the ’90s, amidst strobe lights, smoke machines and a slightly over-optimistic plan for the next working day, this feels like coming home.
The Hartnoll brothers brought electronic music from the clubs to the big venues and, along the way, wrote classics that still pack just as a punch today. Don’t expect a nostalgia show, but a band that’s still looking ahead and proves live why they’re among the absolute best in British electronic music.
What’s more, Saturday 1 May is the perfect evening if you don’t have to head straight to the office the next morning. So put on that imaginary smiley face one last time, relive the nineties for a while and surrender to pulsating beats, mesmerising visuals and that unmistakable Orbital vibe.
