Belgian-Bolivian Susobrino creates his own sound by intertwining traditional South American percussion music with electronica. His insatiable curiosity drove him to collect and learn to play many different sorts of instruments.

In February 2023, he embarked on a fascinating tour of Latin America, travelling through Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico to get to know local communities and immerse himself in their culture. It was a transformative journey with both live performances and studio sessions that formed the basis of his new album, to be released throughout this year in the form of four EPs.

Stage name Susobrino sums up the essence. Derived from the Spanish word ‘sobrino’, which means ‘cousin’, it symbolises the artist’s role as a warm family member, one who honours the traditions and tales of the Latin American culture in his music.
