From TikTok to one of the Netherlands' biggest pop sensations
LUNA (Luna van Kampen) is only 22, but she is already among the most promising voices in the Netherlands. Her story began on TikTok, where she managed to build a loyal fanbase with her unique covers. The real breakthrough came with her Dutch-language version of Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish: an emotional translation that went viral, went gold in the Netherlands and Belgium, and is on its way to platinum. Since then, things have been going fast. LUNA worked with producers like Julian Vahle, Renske Te Buck and Paul Sinha, and drew inspiration from her own experiences. Her songs Dat Is Het Leven, Bij Deze, Liefste and Stuk all made it to the Spotify Top 50 - a feat few artists can claim. Liefste achieved gold, Stuk became a radio favourite (even #1 in Belgium!), and earned her nominations for the Edisons, 3FM Talent and a final spot at Zomerhit. On 15 August, LUNA, together with Russo, released her biggest hit to date: Predestined. The track peaked at #4 in the Spotify Top 50, became an Alarm Disc on Qmusic and hit of 100 on 100% NL, and grew at lightning speed to become her most successful song. With so many milestones on her young record, one thing is clear: LUNA is no longer a promise, but a breakthrough in full swing.
