Late of the Pier is a very youthful British dance-wave phenomenon that is clearly influenced by bands like Bloc Party, Cut Copy and Art Brut but equally well by DJ Hell and Erol Alkan (who also produced their second single). Currently talk of the town in 2 Many DJ's land due to their fantastic debut 'Fantasy Black Channel'.

We'll be opening with the humor/poetry/laptop/hip-hop of Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip. This duo from Essex presents a rather strange mash-up of the forms of expression just mentioned and funnily enough this results in a party sound that activates both laugh and dance muscles. Our radio stations embraced the single 'Thou Shalt Always Kill' with that summary of bands ('all just bands!'), and they currently score with their cut-up mash-up single 'Letter From God To Man' based on a Radiohead sample from 'Planet Telex'.
