Liquid Love, thermodynamic love, universal vibe!
Flashback to 2008. Barack Obama rules the United States, China organises the Olympic Summer Games and Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ reigns over the charts. Closer to home, in Aalst, four friends of friends decide to make music together. Less than a year later, Intergalactic Lovers log their first successes and in 2011 there’s a first album: ‘Greetings and Salutations’. The press is wildly enthusiastic, the shows pile up, the ball starts rolling…
13 Years and two more successful albums, ‘Little Heavy Burdens’ (2014) and ‘Exhale’ (2017), later… singer Lara Chedraoui, guitarist Maarten Huygens, bassist Raf De Mey and drummer Brendan Corbey know each other through and through. They’ve swum many waters together – privately and personally. As an invincible foursome, they are ready to commence the next chapter in their Intergalactic Lovers career.
We are able to share one last track by Intergalactic Lovers with you in anticipation of their fourth album ‘Liquid Love’, which will be released on February 18. ‘Lost’ is the addictive successor to successful singles ‘Bobbi’ and ‘Crushing’.
We asked Lara Chedraoui to tell us what 'Lost' is about: “In life and love, you lose every now and then, you lose people, you lose the way, you lose yourself... we all lose our mind from time to time. ‘Lost’ is a tribute to everyone who has ever been lost. As Lewis Carroll said: 'not all those who wander are lost'.” Never forget that!
