‘Ilyas Ahmed makes folk music that lives in a dreamy haze.’ FACT MAG
Ilyas Ahmed is an American multi-instrumentalist, born in 1974 in Karachi, who released a magnificent album earlier this year, I Am All Your Own (Immune Records).
Ahmed’s moody, droney, electric 12-string guitar-driven compositions perfectly match his warm, airy vocals. His music will charm those also a fan of Neil Young, Red House Painters, Tinariwen or Grouper.
