Fingerpicking folky singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon
Portland resident and singer-songwriter Haley Heynderickx released her first EP in 2016 and just recently her debut album ‘I Need To Start A Garden’, on Mama Bird Recording Co (see too: Courtney Marie Andrews). It is an album full of wonderful, very personal songs. You can now and then hear Bluegrass and jazz influences in the folky, Leo-Kotke-and-John-Fahey-indebted fingerpicking style songs. But there’s just as much chance that you hear Angel Olsen or Sharon Van Etten in there too.
