Fingerpicking folky singer-songwriter uit Portland, Oregon
De uit Portland residerende singer-songwriter Haley Heynderickx bracht in 2016 haar eerste EP uit en zonet verscheen op Mama Bird Recording Co (zie ook Courtney Marie Andrews) haar debuutalbum ‘I Need To Start A Garden’. Het is een plaat vol prachtige, erg persoonlijke songs geworden. In de folky, aan Leo Kotke en John Fahey schatplichtige fingerpicking style songs, hoor je zo nu en dan wat Bluegrass en jazz invloeden. Maar even goed hoor je er Angel Olsen of Sharon Van Etten in terug.
