GLITTERBEAT PRESENTS SAMBA TOURE

All the appeal is in the name already: Samba Touré. Intense trance and dance music from Mali, groove with emotion. There is desert blues blowing through it, there is sublime guitar playing and propulsive tama-percussion, Samba himself likes to speak of modern Malian music with traditional sounds that evolve under global influences. This year he completed his 3rd CD on Glitterbeat: Wandé.

In the press

Britain’s Mojo: '4* a riff machine with power and swing, demanding to be turned up loud.'

Fun fact

The latest CD was recorded extremely quickly, always in the afternoon (but never in the weekend) because too many of the musicians had to go play weddings!
