American indie-folk-pop band comes to present their superb debut
Sun June came into being when Laura Colwell and Stephen Salisbury worked together in the editing room of famous film director Terrence Malick. They found the time to write songs together between editing sessions and when Malick wasn’t around. After recording a number of demos, they began recording their first album ‘Years’ in 2017 (on the Keeled Scales label). In 10 superb songs, they sing about the long-term effects of losing friends, family or partners.
They call the music they perform ‘regret pop’ and we reckon it pairs perfectly with the dreamy, folky music that Beach House has been performing for a number of years now.
Sun June will perform as a duo in AB Salon.
