Stunning, melancholy indie-folk
Big Thief’s frontwoman Adrianne Lenker grew up in a sect and, as a child, she was forced to make music by her father. He wanted to make a pop star of her, but the singer put an end to that when she was sixteen. In the meantime, she has managed perfectly to turn her traumatic childhood into something beautiful. The four from New York write wonderful songs about the crazy parents, broken loves and hellish life in a big city.
The band’s third release has provided us with one of the albums of the year: ‘U.F.O.F.’.
Big Thief have partnered with PLUS1 so that €1 from every ticket will go to organizations bringing dignity, equity, and access to communities who need it.
