In order to highlight our good musical neighbourliness, Flemish Cultural Houses AB and Beursschouwburg have formed a structural partnership.

Big Freedia is known as the ‘Queen of Bounce’. The rapper from New Orleans makes use of a female artist name, because sexuality has little to do with her music: "All types of people—gay, straight, rich, poor, black, white come to my shows. People just wanna get out and shake their azzzz and have a good time!" She became the ambassador of the genre and introduced the rest of the world to ‘bounce music’ via her reality-tv show ‘Big Freedia Bounces Back’.

The self-assured diva released her first album in 2014, ‘Just Be Free’. During her live shows, she charms the audience with her striking dance moves. ‘The twerk’, ‘the shake’, ‘the wiggle’, ‘the bend ova’ and ‘the hands on the ground’ are sure to ensure a fantastic party.
The Queen of Bounce’s second album will be out in 2018.
