A roots-driven double bill
AySay
AySay is a band from Copenhagen that combines Anatolian folk and Scandinavian electronica, informed by the Danish-Kurdish-Turkish background of lead singer Luna Ersahin. The band creates a musical environment in which boundaries are removed and only a raw human experience remains, somewhere between hope and hopelessness.
Their music celebrates diversity and builds bridges between worlds, thus making them a vibrant voice on the global music scene. With Luna’s enchanting, tone-bending voice at the forefront and the virtuoso talent of Aske Døssing Bendixen and Carl West Hosbond, the band creates a musical universe that takes listeners from Scandinavian landscapes to the heart of Anatolia.
By combining traditional instruments, such as the saz, with contemporary pop and electronic elements, AySay produces an innovative sound that transcends genres and unites cultures.
Melina
